Apeiron Systems CDR Specification – Version 1.2



The Apeiron Systems CDR is a comma delimited format. Various serialization methods and formats are supported with the most common being ASCII text file in .csv format. Apeiron strives to maintain field presence, configuration and meaning across all formats.

Field Descriptions:


  1. id:

    Type: Integer

    Description: Apeiron unique call record id

  2. direction:

    Type: String

    Description: “inbound” or “outbound”. An inbound call is one that was originated on the PSTN and routed via Apeiron to the end user. Inbound calls can be originated from the PSTN calling an end user’s local telephone number (DID) or toll free number (TFN). An outbound call is one that originates from the customer and is sent through Apeiron for termination on the PSTN.

  3. routing_number:

    Type: String

    Description: The number string used for the routing of the call. This is also the basis for call rating and is the number that the termocn, termlata, termstate & termocn_type is based on.

  4. billable_duration:

    Type: Integer

    Description: The number of seconds used to calculate the charge for this record.

  5. answer_time:

    Type: MMDDYYYY

    Description: The date & timestamp in GMT when the call for this record was answered.

  6. charge:

    Type: Decimal

    Description: The charge in dollars for this record.

  7. tax:

    Type: Decimal

    Description: The tax in dollars collected for this record.

  8. jurisdiction:

    Type: String

    Description: Interstate, Intrastate, IntraLATA, Indeterminate

  9. calltype:

    Type: String

    Description: OutboundNADP, OutboundTFN, OutboundINTL, InboundNADP

  10. orig_ocn:

    Type: String – Four Digit alpha numeric

    Description: The ocn that the originating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  11. orig_lata:

    Type: Integer - Five Digit numeric

    Description: The lata that the originating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  12. orig_state:

    Type: Two Digit alpha numeric Text [A-Z][A-Z]

    Description: The state that the originating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  13. orig_ocn_type:

    Type: String

    Description: The ocn type of the orig_ocn

  14. term_ocn:

    Type: String – Four Digit alpha numeric

    Description: The ocn that the terminating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  15. term_lata:

    Type: Integer - Five Digit numeric

    Description: The lata that the terminating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  16. term_state:

    Type: Two Digit alpha numeric Text [A-Z][A-Z]

    Description: The state that the terminating NPA-NXX-X belongs to

  17. term_ocn_type:

    Type: String

    Description: The ocn type of the term_ocn. “ILEC”, “CLEC”, “RBOC”, “PCS”, “Wireless”, etc…

  18. source_hostname:

    Type: Text

    Description: End user IP Address or FQDN used in the two way communications for this record.

  19. orig_phone_number:

    Type: Text – 10+ digit numeric

    Description: The calling number for this record. Also known as calling number or ANI.

  20. term_phone_number:

    Type: Text – 10+ digit numeric

    Description: The called number for this record.

  21. trunk_group:

    Type: Text – Six digit numeric

    Description: The trunk group that was used to complete the call for this record.
