Cellular Services FAQ

Technical FAQ for MVNO providers using Apeiron's MVNE platform.

General

What does Apeiron provide for cellular services?

Apeiron operates an MVNE platform that enables MVNO providers to activate, bill, and manage subscribers across major carrier pathways through one API integration or a single-pane dashboard workflow.

Which carrier networks are supported?

Apeiron supports multi-carrier operations including T-Mobile (PWG), AT&T (Blueconnects), and Verizon (Telispire), with additional interconnect pathways available based on program design.

What is the advantage of one API for multiple carriers?

A unified API reduces per-carrier integration overhead. Apeiron translates platform actions into carrier-specific provisioning commands while maintaining a consistent wholesale partner operating model.

Provisioning and Lifecycle

How are SIMs managed?

SIM lifecycle operations are managed by ICCID and include provisioning, activation, plan assignment, status updates, and replacement workflows where supported by the carrier pathway.

Can subscribers be managed as prepaid and postpaid?

Yes. Subscriber plan treatment supports prepaid and postpaid operating models depending on the selected carrier pathway and wholesale partner plan design.

How does plan enforcement work?

Plan treatment is enforced at the carrier network layer (for example, HLR/HSS policy controls), enabling data throttle or block behavior based on assigned plan thresholds.

What are Master Plans and Top-Up plans?

Master Plans define the baseline subscriber service profile. Top-Up plans can be used for incremental usage or feature extensions, depending on carrier and plan architecture.

Carrier-Specific Behavior

Are all carrier features identical?

No. Each interconnect has its own SKU model, feature availability, event notifications, and provisioning nuances. Apeiron exposes a unified control surface while preserving carrier-specific rules.

Does T-Mobile support SKU-based feature assignment?

Yes. The T-Mobile pathway supports SKU-driven feature composition and plan behavior controls for capabilities like data treatment and optional feature enablement.

How does AT&T provisioning differ?

AT&T (Blueconnects) is plan-centric and supports async event workflows such as activation, device change, and treatment notifications through mapped backend operations.

Does Verizon support international service scenarios?

Verizon (Telispire) supports international service models with carrier-specific structures for roaming and destination treatment.

Operations and Support

How are day-to-day operations performed?

Operations can be performed in the Apeiron dashboard or through API automation for activation, provisioning, and subscriber lifecycle actions.

What support model is used?

Support follows a tiered model:

  • Tier 1: MVNO wholesale partner subscriber support
  • Tier 2: Apeiron platform/provisioning support
  • Tier 3: Carrier network engineering escalation coordinated by Apeiron

How should MVNO teams prepare for rollout?

Typical readiness planning includes carrier mix strategy, plan architecture design, ICCID inventory readiness, activation/porting workflow mapping, and support escalation alignment.

Integration

Is there API documentation available?

Yes. API documentation is available at api.apeiron.io, with Postman collections available in the docs library.

Where can we get the Postman collections?

Use the full library at Postman API Collections, or select collection links from the Cellular and product-specific docs sections.
